STURGEON BAY, WI – The Rotary Club of Sturgeon Bay presents the 28th Annual Shipyard Tours on Saturday, September 11th, 2021. For one day each year, Fincantieri Bay Shipbuilding, The Door County Maritime Museum, and CenterPointe Yacht Services open their doors to the public for tours of the shipbuilding industry. The Coast Guard Cutter, Mobile Bay, is also available for tours if they are in town. Sarter Marine Towing, docked by the Door County Maritime Museum, will also be available to talk about their operations.
Tickets are $20 in advance and $25 the day of. There is a limit of 1,200 tickets total available for the event. We are selling tickets in One Hour time slots, and the time slots are specific to Bay Shipbuilding to keep everyone moving in an orderly tour experience. Purchasers can proceed to the other venues at any time outside of the time slot purchased. Parking and bus service are available between Sawyer Park, the Maritime Museum, and Fincantieri Bay Shipbuilding.
All proceeds from ticket purchases are directed toward Rotary Club of Sturgeon Bay and the Rotary Youth Interact charitable projects, including support for human and community development, vocational and academic ‘Service Above Self” scholarships, and the international exchange student program.
Comfortable walking shoes are recommended. Tours at Bay Shipbuilding take around an hour and are on gravel and pavement. A limited number of tickets will be available at the gates on the day of the event. Please purchase tickets online in advance.
